Campaign Contract

Welcome to the Players at Large Amber PBeM campaign titled:

'An Ill Wind Blows...'

The GM is Heather Mace.  (That's me...)  I've run face to face campaigns before, with Champions and my own home brewed game system.  I've also been a member of a PBeM Amber campaign for a couple of years.  And I've finally decided to bite the bullet as it were and run my own PBeM game.

This campaign is a non-standard Amber Diceless campaign.  The standard powers and places may or may not exist.  You don't know yet.  But you will learn.  If you survive.

This campaign will strongly encourage role play and character development.  Points are mainly used to secure the power to do things.

This is an e-mail campaign.  I do not envision using chat or ICQ in the early stages of the campaign.  Besides, e-mail lets me use a spell checker.

I will maintain the character sheets for the characters.

I probably rate this campaign as a PG-13 to R campaign.  Silence of the Lambs is a bit much for me.

I do ask the following commitments from any player:

• A good faith attempt to respond to threads once a day.
• A good faith attempt to play and respond in character.
• Respect for the other players and their character concepts.
• Respect for the GM and her plots, and a good faith attempt not to segway into silliness. (At least not too often.)
• Recognition that I may not be always right, but that I do have the final say in any arbitration.
• A good faith attempt to be an 'active' character. Passive characters will probably not receive much GM attention. Sorry...
• A good faith attempt to try to make your character fun to play, exciting to play with for the other characters, and fun for you to play.

I expect a level of OOC politeness and courtesy.  If you have a problem in my campaign and you find you cannot be polite, then involve me and I will resolve the situation.  But I do expect everyone to behave like adults.

In return:

• I will attempt in good faith to respond to all threads within a day.
• I will treat all players, characters, and character concepts with respect.
• I will attempt to provide an entertaining campaign.
• I will attempt to provide as much depth to my universe as possible.
• I will attempt to maintain an informative website with the current rules and going ons.
• I will keep all character sheets up to date and provide on request an accounting of what the player 'knows' about their sheet.
