Behold, ... a totem to our war-mongering society... ;) OK, I'm not a huge fan of the whole Gundam thing, but few series have produced so many finely detailed models.

I picked up a couple of Gundam Level 6 models on clearance from Amazon for about $8/ea.

This is one of them.
(Object in progress.)

Animated GIF image of lightning bolts.
Lightning 1999: Here's a short compilation of images caught during a rare lightning storm in the fall of 1999. The images were caught with my TRV900 camcorder, and saved out as JPEG images. I then compiled these into short QT movies, showing the best flashes.

There are two versions:
 Small Size (320x240), 119KB
 FullSize (640x480), 329KB

The following link will take you to the group photos, and a 'mission patch' that I mocked up using LightWave, based on a design drawn by other members of our 'team.'

Investigate an Egyptian tomb! In the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, a momentous discovery was recently unearthed. A unique tomb was found.

It is believed to be the single burial place of the (48?!?) sons of one of the greatest kings of ancient Egypt: Rameses II.

"Many have called the work in KV 5 one of the most exciting and important archaeological projects of the 20th century."

After attending a speech by the archeologist who made this discovery, I was inspired to model the interior in LightWave.

I made this Unreal level as an experiment in my spare time. It maps out the interior, as shown on the KV5 web site.

If you own Unreal, feel free to download this level and explore it. If you don't own Unreal - go buy it! :^) (It is truly a beautiful 3D
game engine!)
