Description:    Slender, almost petite, with platinum blond hair, green eyes, and fair skin. She is a graceful, elegant woman, often wearing pale colors and the finest of jewelery.

Nowadays Opal is a slender bundle of raw energy. Advanced combat training and survival have resculpted Opal into a far tougher, less delicate woman. Not that she can't still play the part of the Lady of Varas, but now she's equally at home in grungy leather and denim as in silk and satin.

Whether she prefers the leathers to the silk is something less clear...
 
 

Personality:    Her demeanor is cool, her glance piercing. She prefers not to resort to physical violence. Rather, she will usually find a more subtle method for solving difficult problems.

That, or she'll shoot you, slice you up or punch your lights out if it comes to it...
 
 

History:   Opal is a product of The Academy, the testing grounds for the Chosen of Flora, Lady of Karadon. The Chosen are clones or derivatives of Flora, the former princess of Amber. Every five hundred years or so the Lady selects a perfect Chosen to become her new body.

Opal was to have had this honor, but the night she was selected she ran away from the Academy. As she escaped, she discovered the fate of those that weren't selected: execution. Finding her beloved Toapz's body proved a terrible trauma for Opal, shaping her emotional responses for years to come.

She fled into shadow to the region of Varas, on the edge of the Wastelands. After several years of learning to survive in the outside world she purchased a title and mineral rights to a peaceful stretch of land against the Sea of Rust. It was there that Flaubon sought her out, offering her protection from the Lady and her own plantaxy. So Opal left her life as the Lady of Varas to go with Flaubon, starting her training with the legendary plantaxy and the intricacy of shadow.

Opal and Flaubon travelled together for several years as he trained her in her powers before the start of the campaign proper.
