Character Name: Walter Hawke

Physical Description, including ethnicity: Walter is a, white, five and a half foot tall bulldog. He is in better physical shape than most men in their 20's, wears his gray hair in a typical military buzz cut, and has the weathered look of a man that has spent his life out in the elements.

Does your character believe in magic/is superstitious? Walters is a black and white sort of man, but has had enough experiences in the world to know that there is simply some "strange shit" out there. Perhaps the best way to put it is to say that he doesn’t want to believe in magic… but when primed with enough scotch, he may tell of a strange experience he had in the remote jungles of Vietnam.

Why is he/she in Chinatown?: Walter is in the area on business and pleasure. He is consulting a firm that is opening a new camp for trouble teens (in the Bay area) and happens to be staying in a hotel close to Chinatown. He is a great fan of Asian food and will be doing some typical touristy things in the area.

Brief character history: After retiring from a life long career in the United States Marine Corps (including multiple tours of duty in Vietnam and later as a Drill Instructor), Walter found life in the civilian world difficult. But, he was fortunate to eventually find use for is military experience and know-how. He presently serves as a highly paid consultant for centers for troubled teens, especially centers that model themselves after military style boot camps.
